About Us

We are very proud and humbled by our continued success. We give thanks to all those who have continued to support us over the years.

 

Our new location is beautiful. We have a big  ,bright , clean kitchen , a gorgeous dining room with a sophisticated private dining room suitable for parties up  to 16 people. There is a big comfortable bar fully stocked with some unusual and hard to find items. We have a rooftop garden in the summer and grow herbs and vegetables that we use even in the winter months. We occationally have a fun band in the bar often during First Friday. We look forward to making your dining experience a memorable one. Please feel free to contact us.

We are a family owned and operated restaurant. The long journey back to Spokane began back in 1962 when the family moved from Spokane for Seattle. Then to Tacoma , back to Seattle and then to California;   Santa Fe Springs , Hollywood and then Monterey. Our father was a Manager for Hyatt Hotels , and to us kids , moving was just normal. We were then transferred to Hong Kong, and then Singapore. The food in these two moves started kicking the taste buds into high gear. We then moved to London where the taste of fine Ales was entered into the equation. Both brothers entered the world of Hotel work after college. Steve in Hotel Administration and Dave at the Culinary Institute of America. After several years of being thousands of miles away from each other , we decided to all move back to Spokane in 1990.

1n 1993 we opened Hills' Someplace Else on Sprague across the street from The Ridpath Hotel. They tore the whole block down in 2004. After much searching , government red tape and hard work , we reopened in 2007 at our current location.
